Key Dates for the New Tax Year 2019 – 2020

PAYE UK New Tax Year Dates 2019/2020

5th April 2019 – Deadline for claiming PAYE tax refund for 2014/2015.
6th April 2019 – First day of tax year 2019/2020
31st May 2019 – Last date to give employees P60 for tax year 2018/2019
6th July 2019 – Copies of P11d documents need to be issued to employees by this date
5th April 2020 – End of the tax year for 2019/2020
Self-Assessed Tax Dates 2019/2020
31st January 2019 – Deadline for filing self-assessment tax return for 2017/2018 and to pay any tax which is still owed for that same year.
5th April 2019 – last day of tax year 2018/2019. Deadline for claiming back over paid tax for year 2014/2015.
6th April 2019 – First day of tax year 2019/2020.
31st May 2019 – Last date to give employees their P60 for tax year 2018/2019.
31st July 2019 – Deadline for second account payment for tax year ending in on the 5th of April 2019.
5th October 2019 – Deadline to register with HMRC if you started being self-employed or started to receive income from property in the tax year 2018/2019. If you are self-employed you need to submit form CWF1 and if you have non self-employed income you need to submit form SA1.
31st October 2019 – Deadline for submitting paper self-assessments returns for 2018/2019 tax year.
30th December 2019 – Deadline for the online submission of self-assessment tax returns for the tax year ending 5th April 2019.
31st January 2020 – Online self-assessment tax returns for tax year 2019/2020 should be submitted by this date.
5th April 2020 -End of the tax year 2019/2020
